Bonjour. Hallo. Hi
I'm Julian Gamper. I'm an industrial designer.
I thrive on developing a unique design language, founded on the user, appealing to all our senses and simple in its use. I provide product design services from initial sketch to viable market ready products.
I enjoy challenging standards and seeking for seemingly simple responses to challenging problems. I create products that respectfully reflect tradition and modernity whilst featuring unique embedded stories, symbols and associations.
“Design is like telling a story that has never been told before.”
My goal is to build lasting relationships with my clients and to translate their ideas in compelling stories reflected by unique products that will help define the way we live, work, move and communicate in the future.
I founded my own studio in 2016 in parallel to studies at the Universität für Angewandte Kunst (University of Applied Arts) in Vienna where I studied industrial design in a class first led by the iconic Italian architect and designer Paolo Piva and than by German designer Stefan Diez. Combining both has taught me self-education, entrepreneurship and rationality.
My passion for craft, aesthetics and materiality came very early and has not stopped growing with the years. It is with joy that I share my fascination with amazing people every day.
I have had the chance to collaborate with a large variety of clients across the globe in very different areas, from individuals and startups to well-established companies.
Whilst having a predilection for footwear design, I always enjoy taking on new challenges with forward-thinking partners and creating surprising products for an always evolving world.
We are already surrounded by so many items we do not even consider. Therefore, it is my duty as a designer to create products that are not a waste of people’s time and space.
My most recent projects cover the domains of:
- Footwear and apparel
- Watches and accessories
- Mobility
- Sports equipment
- Furniture
- Lighting
- Consumer goods
- Medical devices
- Packaging
